We start by understanding your business, your users, and the problem you are actually trying to solve. This means asking questions, mapping workflows, and identifying constraints before any design or development work begins. What comes out of discovery is a shared understanding of what we are building and why, so the rest of the process has a clear foundation to build on.

That is a normal place to be and exactly what discovery is for. You do not need a fully formed spec to start a conversation. Tell us what you are trying to solve and we will help you figure out whether it is ready to build, what the right first version looks like, and what it would take.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
Scope drives timeline more than anything else. A focused app with a clear set of features and one user type can move from discovery to launch in a few months. A more complex product with multiple user types, integrations, or custom workflows takes longer. If you have a deadline that matters, tell us upfront and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable and what tradeoffs might be involved.
How much does it cost?
Scope drives cost more than anything else. A focused app with one user type and no third party integrations costs significantly less than a product with multiple user roles, custom workflows, and external system connections. The best way to get to a real number is to start a conversation and work through what you are actually trying to build.
What do I need to have ready before we start?
Not as much as you might think. An idea, a sense of who it is for, and a willingness to work through the details together. We have worked with clients who came in with detailed specs and clients who came in with a napkin sketch. The discovery process works either way.
